Labelled "The dirt-bag of the north", due to its horrid smell. These creatures were originally common in the far north of Eudoria. Early settlers exterminated the vile beasts, as it displayed a chilling preference for human flesh. Its tentacles have numerous razor-sharp hooks, that make a certain death once in its embrace.
This is one of the rare creatures where a higher maturity is less difficult. The providers and guardians are much tougher than their older dominant brothers and a guardian could even take out an alpha male if it so chooses.
In Latin "scaber" means "scabby, rough", while "boreas" refers to "the north, the north wind". This is fully consistent with the creature's description, "The dirt-bag of the north".
